Product Review: Crater Lake Company

The review for the two body products I recently received from Crater Lake Company is very easy. One word sums up both the Comforting Crème and Sugar Cloud Scrub – amazing. When my order arrived, it came packaged in an adorable goodie bag tied with a curled pink ribbon. The personalized card inside just goes to show how much the owner, Sharonn, really cares about her work. But enough of this, let’s get to the good stuff!

Your eyes always create the first impression. When I opened the Sugar Cloud Soft and Gentle Body Scrub in Pink Buttercream Dream my eyes were instantly pleased. On top of the scrub, which looked like smooth pink frosting, a dollop of multicolored sprinkles lay inviting you to inhale deeply. Though these rainbow dots were almost too adorable to muddle up I couldn’t resist digging in to the scrub and indulging. Besides smelling like the most delicious cupcake on earth, this gentle scrub really did its job – it lathered quickly, scrubbed gently and rinsed cleanly. Really, it’s a great product and left my skin nice and soft.

The Halo Halo-Ween scented Comforting Crème With Goat’s Milk was firm yet giving to the touch, a sign of a good moisturizer in my mind. The lotion went on smooth, rubbed in quickly and without any grimy remnants. With the cold season zapping moisture from my skin at an ever increasing rate, this crème is definitely going to keep my hands smooth until spring. The scent was rich but not overpowering or musky in any way. You can definitely pick up the hints of sweetened milk as well as fresh ground nutmeg in the aroma. I had several of my friends ask me why I smelled so good. Though I was tempted to take all the credit as my natural scent, I shared my precious container of moisturizer and my secret.
