Talk about falling head over heels in love! The screenprinted designs created by Andrea Winkler at PrettyRaccoon Clothing have enchanted and amazed me.
Multiple graphic designs grace a variety of stylish tops, totes and scarves in this collection from an expert fashionista and woman who really knows her stuff. All of her designs are iconic, focusing on a single, memorable image. Be it an anchor, deer’s head, revolver or bow, each screenprinted piece turns out feminine and inspired.
Some of my favorites include the Chandelier Print ($31) which is dripping in decadent golden extravegence, and the Fleur De Lis Print ($49) which is royal and sophisticated. Each piece is one of a kind, so if you see it, love it, want it – then get it, because things this beautiful don’t last.

Halloween isn’t all about dressing up to scare or seduce, it’s about flaunting your personal style. This fall, instead of vamping it up or frightening your friends and neighborhood children, throw on some festive colors like goldenrod, pumpkin orange and deep mahogany to celebrate the changing season and beautiful fall colors.
Tricks? These styles are not, but indeed, treats they are.
The iconic candy of Halloween has to be candy corn, but does anybody really like the taste of these adorable confections? The problem of stale sugary treats is solved with the Juicy Couture Gold Candy Corn Charm ($42), which proudly reads “Live for Sugar.” Well, how sweet it is to have a cute, chunky key chain accent piece to keep spirits high this October. [buy it]
A soft shape combined with a vintage inspired bow tie and deep, midnight purple shade brings the Amberlynn Bow Tie Blouse ($190) into chic territory. This top is so fashionable it’s almost scary! Pleated sleeves compliment the pin tucked, button down front. While this top doesn’t scream bats and spiders, it does provide a nice gothic vampire vibe. [buy it]
The Autumn Spice Necklace ($32) from Shop Clementine is a gorgeous piece for the season. The colors of the charm just invoke memories of piles of fragrant leaves, warm pumpkin pie and the cool freshness of an autumn night. Made with green Grossular Garnet, Fool’s Gold Pyrite and Peach Moonstone (my favorite), this pretty set of stones hangs from a coordinating oxidized Copper chain. [buy it]
The October influences on the N.Y.L.A. Carmelia Pump ($99) are quite apparent. Mixing menswear style with orange, black, brown and white patent leather pieces creates an appealing look for the fall. A hidden platform and high gloss finish ensure the rapt attention of any onlookers. Going from office chic to naughty nightclub with only one pair of heels makes these babies worth it. [buy it]
The Diane von Furstenberg Natasha Skirt ($325) is a closet staple that can be paired with a multitude of items creating a different style each time. For the fall, dress this stretchy wool skirt with an earth toned top to mirror Mother Nature. The beautiful button detailing on the front is not to be missed. Not to mention, the skirt kind of reminds me of a scarecrow, a sexy and stylish one at that. [buy it]
Definitely a down on the farm inspired shirt, the Kimchi Blue Plaid Ruffle Neck Blouse ($48) is something a fashionista would wear for a hayride around the apple orchard followed by a bout in the pumpkin patch. The flirty layers of the low scoopneck flutter in the wind, cheekily revealing nothing a lady wishes to hide. Capped sleeves and a triple row of buttons are also chic accents on this orange harvest top. [buy it]
Mix and match the crimson, violet and steel colored Linea Pelle Gunmetal Pryramid Stud Bracelets ($40) to your heart’s content. Made out of soft, washed Italian leather, these fierce bracelets snap closed to fit your wrist and are the perfect shades for the fall. The gunmetal finish on the brass studs transform these tough looking pieces into a glamorous accent for any outfit. [buy it]
Technology and computers seem to get a bad rap when it comes to appealing to the female half of the population. I must agree – most computers and accessories are dull, grey and void of any charm.
USB Memory Jump Drives are not exempt from falling under this insipid spell either. These little devices shouldn’t be limited to a totalitarian aesthetic! Us women like to spice everything up. Here are some chic oriented USBs for the enjoyment of all womankind.
The Moon USB Memory Key ($240) is doubtlessly designed for the sophistication of a woman’s taste. With a fully faceted clear crystal secured to a stainless steel circular body, this 2 GB memory key is classy chic. It comes on an adjustable chain as well so if you’re copying top secret documents for a special ops mission at a ballroom gala, your secret is kept safe around your neck. [buy it]
The Salmon Roe Sushi USB Flash Drive ($50) is so perfect you’d might mistake it for the real deal and try to put some wasabi on it! Tiny replicas of bright orange salmon roe and cool green cucumber slices are enveloped by rich nori – except this is all made from plastic. One GB of memory is housed inside of this Japanese delicatessen. [buy it]
Not only is the ATP Petito Pink Ribbon Special Edition Flash Drive ($30) a charitable purchase with 10% of the sales going to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, its special packaging offers notable protection. The 2 GB of memory inside the System In Package(SIP) technology case protects the memory from dust, static discharge, water and extreme temperatures. Wow. [buy it]
Lock and load, literally! All that’s needed to access saved files, music and pictures is the Lock In USB Memory Key ($180). The latch of the lock design actually hooks onto items like your purse or bag for easy storage and accessorizing. One GB of memory is inside of the polished stainless steel and baguette cut Swarovski crystals. [buy it]
The Rose Aromatherapy Oil USB ($6) is not so much a storage device but an uplifting device. This little apparatus comes with a bottle of rose scented aromatherapy oil. To use, drip a drop onto the “X” marks the spot and once heated, your spirits lift, as the scent of roses is known to have antidepressant qualities. Plus, your room will have its own air freshener! [buy it]
When is a broken heart not really broken at all? The answer is when you are using the Heart Beat USB Memory Key ($180), which is comprised of two heart halves that join and separate with a simple touch. With stainless steel on one half and silver speckled crystals on the other, this chic heart will capture yours! It holds 1 GB of memory and dangles from a graceful silk cord. [buy it]
Be sure to indulge with the Freshly Baked Strawberry Donut USB Drive ($30). Made to have an eye catching exterior, this appetizingly pink donut is a fanciful way to store back ups of your computer files. This pastry has a memory of 1 GB and also comes available in green tea with sprinkles and chocolate flavor options. [buy it]
I know what you’re thinking. Octopus? Chic? Ew. Why?
Well, let me explain. There is something mysterious and enchanting about this deep sea creature. The way its boneless body moves with a beautiful elegance makes the octopus overwhelmingly interesting on both a biological and creative level.
This creature is overlooked when it comes to design and whether or not the rest of the world catches on in the upcoming years, only time will tell. But for now, this beautiful creature, which a slim margin of designers have realized is an amazing inspirational force, will get its own chic spotlight.
Made from eco-friendly cotton, the Home Octopus Pillow ($65) is a subtle and comfortable way to start integrating this unique sea creature based design into your life. Autumnal colors of orange and burnt sienna highlight the fall season while fitting into neutral and warm colored interior decors. The teaming of jefdesigns and freddy&ma design teams really turned out an interesting pillow! [buy it]
The Ceramic Octopus Vase ($18) totally transplants me back to a dimly lit lecture hall for Ancient Art History. Historically speaking, the Greeks did this design thousands of years ago, and much better in my honest opinion. However, not all of us have a museum’s budget and can’t afford priceless artifacts to house our fresh picked flowers! This reasonably priced replacement is a nice substitute that comes in black or white. [buy it]
The transformation of a plain white tunic is completely aquatic chic with the hand printed pair of sea creatures in the Octopus Baby Doll Dress ($30). The movement of this relaxed fit top is enhanced by the sapphire blue octopi whose tentacles seem to float in a deep ocean. This is best when matched with some leggings or slim fit jeans, or you can rock out with a banging mini dress with two large side pockets. [buy it]
The Ruby and White Gold Octopus Ring ($1,495) is a bit on the extravagant side but well worth it for the charmingly chic factor. Gorgeously embellished with rubies, white and black diamonds, this burgundy toned ring is definitely blingin’. Also available in a golden, Yellow Sapphire option, it is not advised to pair the rings together – can you say tentacle overload? [buy it]
With just a hint of octopus legs dangling from the top of the canvas, the Octopus Screen Printed Wood Art Panel ($150) is another great way to integrate a bit of fun into your home. The warm wood tone paired with bright aquamarine print is a gorgeous accent piece to any wall where a pop of color and organic qualities are needed. [buy it]
The Femme Metale Octopus Necklace ($209) is designed by Leslie Homan, a former makeup artist and stylist in Hollywood. This polished looking jewelry is made from the finest .925 sterling silver for superior quality and wearability. A gorgeous custom chain is another chic characteristic of this trendsetting necklace. I’m happy someone else saw the beautifully mysterious qualities of the octopus. [buy it]
Eight legs come in handy, especially in the case of the Octopus Earring Stand ($12). Tiny holes where the suckers on octopus tentacles are located hold your favorite earrings in place. Elevated on a simple stand, the focus of this decorative accessory is definitely on the accommodating sea creature. Being unique and endearing at the same time is a difficult task, but this beaked creature pulls the task off nicely. [buy it]
So far the only hint of a cephalopod in most kitchens has been the deep fried appetizer calamari (yum!) but the Dovetail Octopus Vase ($40) has lipped edges so it also doubles as a pitcher. Either used for entertaining, cocktails, daisies, chrysanthemums or just for decoration, this is a charming focal point. You’ll treasure this handmade piece with original screen print artwork that’s specially designed to have the arms of the black octopus wraparound the container. [buy it]
