I know what you’re thinking. Octopus? Chic? Ew. Why?

Well, let me explain. There is something mysterious and enchanting about this deep sea creature. The way its boneless body moves with a beautiful elegance makes the octopus overwhelmingly interesting on both a biological and creative level.

This creature is overlooked when it comes to design and whether or not the rest of the world catches on in the upcoming years, only time will tell. But for now, this beautiful creature, which a slim margin of designers have realized is an amazing inspirational force, will get its own chic spotlight.

Historically speaking, the Greeks did this design thousands of years ago, and much better in my honest opinion. However, not all of us have a museum’s budget and can’t afford priceless artifacts to house our fresh picked flowers! The transformation of a plain white tunic is completely aquatic chic with the hand printed pair of sea creatures in the Octopus Baby Doll Dress ($30).
